Job Summary

SCOR Agri is one of the seven specialty teams (within SCOR P&C) with a worldwide mandate to offer (re)insurance solutions. Agri as a book has evolved over the decades and the UW team is among the most recognized and respected among the business fraternity. 

The position in Mumbai aims to attract a candidate with a genuine interest in the field of agriculture / climate resilience. Some of the core qualities needed are as follows:

Key duties and responsibilities

Report to and support the Head of Agri for renewal and new business, portfolio management & reporting. Portfolio Management  Client Management Market Intelligence  Grow SCOR’s expertise and offering Contribute to internal projects to enhance SCOR’s offering (services, products). Represent SCOR in working groups, conferences, associations etc. Comply with internal risk appetite and risk management practices Comply with all Enterprise Risk Management rules, including Internal Control System for treaty underwriting and escalation to Head of Agri when appropriate Work closely with India / APAC team based in Mumbai / Singapore.

Required experience & competencies

Fresher, or up to 2 years’ experience in the insurance sector. Pays attention to details and comfortable with data analysis.  Good written and oral communication skills.  Comfortable dealing with people.  Eager to add to his / her knowledge. 

Required Education 

University education (Agriculture or Weather Studies, Finance, Insurance).  Insurance / Reinsurance qualifications would be a plus.
