JOB DESCRIPTION


Position:- Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager



Formal Qualifications

  • Preferred Graduate/ Post graduate in medicine/Pharma or alternate medicine
  • Certified insurance course would be having added weightage


Experience

5-7 years experience, of which minimum 5 years should have been in life/health underwriting only


Technical Competencies

Competency in underwriting with UW authority limit of minimum 2Cr.

Knowledge of KYC/AML guidelines

  • Competence of using insurance work flow systems like Lissia/Life Asia etc. & insurance industry awareness involving products portfolio, premium parameters etc.

  • Time management
  • Team management skills


Specific Responsibilities

  • Medical Underwriting: Responsible for assessing and underwriting new business/reinstatement in accordance with the established Company procedures and standards up to the assigned limit


ECG/TMT/Medical report evaluation expertise


Provide an accurate, high quality and speedy underwriting service that builds customer relations and credibility.



Willingness to take additional responsibilities/involvement in various inter department processes


  • To guide and mentor junior team members for enhancing UW skills to a quality decisioning


  • Timely resolution of branch/customer queries related to UW
