Factory Manager

Job Title: Factory Manager (Senior Manager)

Location: Jaipur

The Factory Manager will oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring that all

production meets quality standards and is completed efficiently. The role involves managing

a team, maintaining machinery, ensuring safety protocols, and liaising with other

departments to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

 Production Management:

o Oversee daily operations of the production facility.

o Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands

and delivery timelines.

o Ensure optimal utilization of resources including manpower, materials, and

machinery.

 Quality Control:

o Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all products meet

company and industry standards.

o Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any issues or

defects.

o Maintain records of production quality and take corrective actions when

necessary.

 Team Leadership:

o Manage and lead a team of production workers, supervisors, and technicians.

o Provide training and development opportunities for staff.

o Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve

productivity.

 Safety and Compliance:

o Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.

o Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.

o Maintain compliance with local, state, and regulations related to

manufacturing.

 Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

o Manage inventory of raw materials and finished products.

o Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials.

o Work with the logistics team to manage shipping and delivery schedules.

 Cost Management:

o Monitor and control production costs to achieve budget targets.

o Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

 Maintenance:

o Oversee maintenance of equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.

o Schedule regular maintenance and manage repair activities.

 Reporting:

o Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management.

o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency and

productivity.

 Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. A master’s

degree in industrial engineering / Operations management is a plus.

 Experience:

o Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in precious metals manufacturing

environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

o Proven experience in production management, quality control, and team

leadership.

 Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience with CAD/CAM software and jewellery design tools.

 Knowledge of international jewellery standards and export regulations.

 Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
