Who are we looking for?


As a Backend Developer at Kunato, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our backend systems, driving the innovation that underpins our platform's success. We are looking for a skilled developer with a passion for creating efficient, scalable, and robust backend solutions using Node.js.


Roles and Responsibilities :


1. Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.


2. API Design: Create well-structured and efficient APIs that serve as the backbone of our application, enabling seamless data exchange and communication.


3. Database Management: Work with databases, both SQL and NoSQL, to store and retrieve data efficiently. Optimize database queries for performance.


4. Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers and other cross-functional teams to integrate user facing elements with server-side logic.


5. Code Quality: Write clean and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards. Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality codebase.


6. Testing: Develop and execute unit tests to identify and fix issues, ensuring the reliability of the backend systems.


7. Security: Implement security best practices to protect data and systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.


8. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for the backend systems, APIs, and data models, ensuring clarity and knowledge sharing.


Skillset for the Role :


- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on Node.js.


- Strong expertise in server-side development and API design.


- Proficiency in database systems, including both SQL and NoSQL databases.


- Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.


- Knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js best practices.


- Familiarity with front-end technologies and the ability to collaborate with front-end developers.


- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


- Security-conscious approach to development.


- Excellent documentation and communication skills.


Years of Experience :


Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in backend Node.js development or related roles.


Qualification for the Role :


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
