Quality Assurance Engineer II

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of test strategies and test plans for our e-commerce platform, considering both functional and non-functional requirements.

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define clear and comprehensive test cases and acceptance criteria.

- Conduct thorough and systematic testing of our Database, web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Utilize basic automation knowledge to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the testing process.

- Perform database testing and have a strong understanding of basic SQL and database concepts.

- Monitor and analyze test results, identify and report defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Continuously improve the QA process by identifying areas for optimization, implementing best practices, and staying up to date with emerging testing methodologies and tools.

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring the successful resolution and prevention of future incidents.

- Participate in release management activities, coordinating with the development and operations teams to ensure smooth and successful software deployments.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of 9 years of hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications.

- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including test planning, test case development, and defect tracking.

- Knowledge in basic automation and the ability to automate repetitive tasks.

- Experience in API Testing using tools

- Solid knowledge of basic SQL and database concepts for performing database testing.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Basic Knowledge with performance testing and load testing tools, such as JMeter or LoadRunner, is highly desirable.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and communicate risks and issues effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Proven ability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality software.

- Plus points if you have worked on product based company with preferred domain of e-commerce
