A Fashion Designer with a minimum experience of 3-4 years of experience in Women’s ethnic wear. (NIFT / Pearl institute candidates preferable)

  • Demonstrate acumen in working on development projects for women’s wear (ethnic & fusion wear)
  • Experience in managing design process from the conceptualization stage, sketch, pattern drafting phase to final garment assembly with proven creative and artistic ability.
  • Prove ability to interpret sales team requirements and create designs that meet their target market.
  • Proficiency in achieving desired results in given time frame and budget.


CORE COMPETENCIES


  • Analyse trends in fabrics, silhouettes & colors for planning and developing season-wise range.
  • Conduct research based on lifestyle concepts and trends as well as regional attributes.
  • Work with the sampling team to develop a product to meet the brief.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the samples as discussed, without compromising on standard quality and decided budget parameters.
  • Acquiring a clear understanding of brands' businesses and requirements.
  • Supervising sampling garments from first proto to final gold seal sample for production to ensure that design and technical parameters are followed as per brands requirement.
  • Develop and pilot new class of present designs for company.
  • Set clear S.O.P. and plan the design range as per sales budget.
  • Ensure seasonal originality of the collection to be balanced.
  • CAD: Computer Aided Pattern Making knowledge preferred.
  • Pro-active and able to show initiative to constantly improve the product experience.
  • Analytical abilities to understand and interpret sales trends.
  • Assist internal production team & suppliers on designs, production and other issues
