Job Title: Laboratory Instructor – School of Allied and Healthcare Professions, RV University

Location: School of Allied and Healthcare Professions, RV University, Bengaluru, India

Employment Type: Full-Time.

Job Summary

We are seeking two competent and dedicated Laboratory Instructors to support teaching, training, and skill development of students enrolled in Allied and Healthcare programs. The candidate will assist faculty members in delivering practical sessions, maintaining lab safety, and ensuring the availability and calibration of lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise laboratory sessions for undergraduate students in allied and healthcare programs.
• Assist in preparation, demonstration, and evaluation of practical skills aligned with curriculum standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and ensure timely calibration and servicing.
• Enforce safety protocols, infection control measures, and proper waste disposal practices.
• Collaborate with academic faculty to align laboratory content with theoretical components of the course.
• Provide technical support to students during skill development and internal assessments.
• Participate in curriculum review and development of new laboratory manuals.
• Maintain documentation for laboratory sessions, stock registers, and compliance audits.
• Facilitate internal and external practical examinations and simulations.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree (minimum) in relevant Allied and Healthcare field (B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or B.Sc Cardiac Care Technology or B.Sc. Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology) from a recognized university.
• Master's Degree or additional certifications is an added advantage

Experience:

• Minimum two years of relevant experience in a laboratory/clinical setting or academic institution.
• Prior experience in academic instruction is an added advantage.

Desirable Skills

• Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment.
• Strong communication and instructional skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards.
• Basic computer literacy for academic documentation and report generation.
