We aim to create designs that merge traditional artistry with modern sensibilities.Role Overview:We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer (Freelancer) to collaborate with our design team. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of color, patterns, fabric knowledge, and design software expertise to develop unique textile prints and fabric concepts aligned with Mahukaa’s brand identity.Key Responsibilities:Conceptualize and develop original textile designs, prints, and surface patterns for apparel and accessories.Research trends, colors, and textures to create designs suitable for seasonal collections.Create digital print layouts, repeats, and colorways using software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.Coordinate with the production team to ensure design feasibility and accuracy in execution.Prepare detailed print and fabric specifications for vendors.Maintain design archives and documentation of developed prints.Collaborate closely with the creative team to align textile concepts with the brand vision.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Design / Fashion Design or related field.3–4 years of experience as a Textile Designer in fashion, lifestyle, or home décor brands.Proficiency in design software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW (preferred).Strong understanding of fabric types, printing techniques, and color theory.Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and trend awareness.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines for project-based work.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of Indian textiles, motifs, and traditional craftsmanship.Experience in sustainable or handcrafted design processes.Good communication and presentation skills.What We Offer:Opportunity to collaborate with a growing design-led brand.Flexible work structure with creative freedom.Project-based compensation depending on design scope and experience.
