As a fast-growing D2C and retail premium pet food brand, we blend science, culinary innovation, and love for pets to serve the next generation of pet parents. Were now looking for a Sales Head to lead our next phase of growth across India.
Role Overview
As Head of Sales, you will own our revenue engine leading both online and offline sales, building a high-performing team, and driving market expansion strategies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on executor with a passion for scale.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Build and execute national sales strategies for D2C, retail (modern & general trade), and institutional channels
- Define monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Drive end-to-end funnel optimization from lead generation to closure
- Develop pricing, discounting, and bundling strategies
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and mentor the pan-India sales team (field sales, inside sales, and channel partners)
- Set clear KPIs and review team performance against targets
- Foster a high-ownership, customer-first culture
Market Expansion
- Identify new market opportunities across Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 cities
- Launch and scale in new geographies and store formats
- Build partnerships with veterinarians, pet stores, chains, and online Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments to align GTM campaigns
- Collaborate with product, supply chain, and finance to ensure readiness and ROI
- Represent sales voice in company strategy
Analytics & Reporting
- Build dashboards to track performance, conversion, and CAC
- Analyze data to drive strategic decisions and corrective actions
- Report directly to founders with insights and forecasts
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: MBA from IIMs/IITs or Tier-1 B-schools (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in a sales role
- Proven track record of scaling revenues and building teams in a startup or FMCG/D2C environment
- Strong understanding of both offline retail and online D2C ecosystems
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities
- Passion for pets is a bonus
