About this role


As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be pivotal in driving the organization's DevOps strategy. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring solutions, and cloud-based deployments. The role also involves collaborating across teams and ensuring our systems' reliability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities


DevOps Strategy


Define and drive DevOps practices across the organization.

Lead automation efforts for build, release, and infrastructure management.

Advocate for DevOps best practices, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and delivery.


CI/CD Pipelines


Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes across environments.


Cloud and Infrastructure Management


Manage and optimize deployments in cloud environments like AWS or Azure.

Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.


Containerization


Architect and manage container orchestration platforms such as Docker & Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.


Security & Compliance


Implement best practices for cloud and application security, ensuring compliance with industry standards like ISO 27001 or SOC 2.


Monitoring and Observability


Implement and maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

Set up proactive alerting and reporting for system health and performance.


Collaboration


Work closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure needs with project goals and resolve technical challenges.


Automation & Scripting


Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline system operations and reduce manual effort.


Incident Management


Lead incident response and root cause analysis for system failures.

Develop and maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).


Qualifications


  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Octopus Deploy, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with code quality, security tools for pipelines and compliance.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes etc).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Proven expertise in tools like CloudFormation, Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with security tools, WAF ..etc.
