Carpenter and Maintenance Handyperson

Our Sunshine Coast team is on the search for an all rounder carpenter/handyman to carry out remedial and maintenance projects.

With 76 years’ industry experience, Higgins Coatings continues to be owned and operated as a proud family business. Higgins is Australia's premier commercial painting and maintenance contractor to a broad range of industries.

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an “all-rounder”, to join our Sunshine Coast team on a full time basis to assist our painting teams in doing general maintenance duties.

Duties include basic carpentry, tiling, door replacement, guttering, patching/rendering, pressure cleaning, and related repairs tasks. You may also be asked to assist our Project Managers with some basic estimating and quoting of repairs for our clients.

You will need to have a ‘can do’ attitude and be self-directed to solve issues, as this role provides you a high degree of autonomy, often working alone. You will also need to have:

• Experience working in maintenance/remediation type works
• Trade qualification is preferable, but not a requirement
• Experience complying with safety systems and can complete/follow risk assessments
• Construction White Card and Blue card (preferred)
