Reporting To: Managing Director / Group President OperationsDepartment: Corporate EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)Position Overview:The Head Corporate Safety will be responsible for developing and leading the organizations safety strategy across all solar manufacturing units, chemical process plants, and project sites. This role ensures compliance with statutory safety regulations, drives a culture of zero harm, and implements world-class safety management systems aligned with international standards such as ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001.The incumbent will act as the corporate custodian for all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) functions, providing strategic leadership, governance, and oversight across the Leadership:- Formulate and execute the organizations EHS strategy in alignment with business goals and sustainability objectives.- Develop, review, and update corporate safety policies, standards, and procedures across all locations and business units.- Champion a proactive, risk-based safety culture emphasizing prevention, accountability, and continuous Excellence:- Drive implementation of global best practices in process safety management, hazardous chemical handling, and fire safety.- Conduct high-level audits, risk assessments, and safety performance reviews across manufacturing plants and project sites.- Monitor critical safety KPIs and lead initiatives to reduce incidents, improve compliance, and enhance safety maturity.- Ensure readiness for statutory and third-party audits, including coordination with regulatory authorities and external agencies.People and Culture:- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of EHS professionals across corporate and site functions.- Build organization-wide safety awareness through training, leadership engagement, and behavioral safety programs.- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Project teams for safety integration in all and Compliance:- Ensure full compliance with Indian Factories Act, Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) norms, and other applicable laws.- Implement and maintain emergency preparedness, crisis management, and disaster recovery plans.- Lead safety due diligence and risk assessments for new projects, expansions, and technology and Reporting:- Align corporate safety initiatives with ESG and sustainability frameworks.- Publish periodic safety performance reports and contribute to corporate sustainability disclosures.- Liaise with top management and the Board Safety Committee for strategic updates and performance and Experience:- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Industrial preferred).- Advanced diploma or certification in Industrial Safety (recognized by Government / AICTE).- Minimum 18-25 years of experience in Safety Management within solar, renewable energy, chemical, or petrochemical industries.- Proven track record in handling multi-site safety leadership, preferably with hazardous and process safety exposure.- In-depth knowledge of Indian and international EHS regulations, standards, and management systems.
