Description :- Head of IT Engineering - Banking / Fintech- Location : Chennai- Experience : 25+ yearsAbout the Role :Equitas Small Finance Bank is seeking a visionary Head of IT Engineering / Head of Technology to drive our enterprise-wide digital transformation journey. This role involves leading Enterprise Architecture, Application Development, Application Support, and Data Management across core and digital banking platforms.Key Responsibilities :- Lead the end-to-end engineering strategy covering core banking, digital channels, middleware (ESB), and integration platforms.- Drive modernization initiatives using cloud technologies (AWS / Azure / GCP), APIs, microservices, and DevOps.- Manage application support and data management teams, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and compliance.- Collaborate with business leaders and regulators to align technology with business growth and governance.- Oversee vendor partnerships, system upgrades, and large-scale integration projects.- Build and mentor a high-performing team of architects, developers, and engineers.Required Qualifications :Education :- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.- MBA or M.Tech preferred.Experience :- 25+ years in technology roles, with 10+ years in senior engineering or IT leadership.- Strong exposure to banking / fintech / financial services technology environments.- Deep knowledge of core banking systems, digital banking platforms, regulatory compliance, and enterprise integrations.Technical Expertise :- Cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP- APIs, ESB, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, data management, and performance tuning- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.Why Join Us :At Equitas, youll play a key role in shaping the digital backbone of one of Indias most trusted banks, driving technology innovation, resilience, and scalability.
