Manager - Family Office Operations

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Manager - Family Office Operations at First Water Global. The Manager's responsibilities will be broad and varied and include following :
Accounting and Operations:
- To oversee the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements in respect of family office portfolio entities - The investing entities are Individuals, Family Trusts, Pvt Ltd Companies, Partnership Firms, and LLP.
- Coordination with various banks, demat accounts, brokers, etc.
- Coordination with various service providers like CA, consultants, Trustees, Lawyers, Subject matter experts, etc.
- Coordination with investee companies / entities, intermediaries, etc.
- To present the Investment MIS on a Monthly basis to the family members covering portfolio reports.
- Tracking & managing all cash investments (Liquid Funds, Fixed Deposits, Bank balances, etc) and optimizing the yield generated thereon, within the framework of liquidity and risk.
- Ensuring timely accounting of all family assets, including investment accounts, properties, trusts, and other interests.
- Ensuring timely payment of vendor invoices, misc payments, salary payments, rent, etc.
- Work with senior management to identify and mitigate financial risks by establishing and implementing sound operating policies, internal controls and process improvements.
- Ensuring the safety and security of family assets: Custodians, cybersecurity, internal controls
- Institute secure money movement procedures, and routinely review cash movements to ensure a full reconciliation of inflows and outflows
- IT systems should require multi factor authentication, and staff should undergo regular training on cybersecurity best practices.
- As threats continue to evolve, processes to detect and resolve new threats must evolve as well, including an ongoing cyberthreat monitoring process.
- Working on risk mitigation, in all its forms.
Taxation & Compliances:
- Taxation – Direct in respect of different entities
- To manage Advance Tax calculations and deadlines
- Providing support and coordination in the Legal matters with the help of external legal teams.
- Supervising the tax plans and ensuring timely assessment and filing of direct tax returns including TDS returns in compliance with statutory tax laws.
- Ensuring Audit , payments and Statutory compliances etc. and ensuring completion of various audits / compliances within the deadlines.
Team Management:
- Managing the Direct Reports in the team
- Managing attendance / leaves of the team
Qualifications
Education/Certifications/Experience:
- CA strongly preferred
- Prior experience of working with an Indian Family Office will be preferred.
- 10+ years’ of finance experience.
- Strong understanding of Individual and Corporate tax compliances.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience in administrative assistance and office administration
- Proficiency in office equipment and relevant software
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Ability to understand the strategy, design and implement both short term and long term vision for managing the Promoter family’s wealth.
- Ability to closely monitor and report all investment activities to the promoters
- Work with honesty and integrity.
- Demonstrated work experience and a proven track record of managing investment accounting.
- Team management and leadership abilities
- Proactive, solutions focused approach
- Working knowledge of Advanced Excel, Digital Transactions, Cyber Security etc.
