Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision:

Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications. 

Technical Interpretation:

Read and interpret erection drawings, structural drawings, and specifications. 

Material Management:

Monitor material availability, inspect materials, and maintain proper records. 

Labor Management:

Supervise and guide labor teams, ensuring efficient and safe work practices. 

Quality & Safety:

Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety inspections, and ensure all work meets quality standards. 

Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. 

Documentation:

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, maintain project documentation, and document site activities. 

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues that arise during construction. 

Common Roles in PEB

Site Engineer (PEB):

Responsible for overseeing the physical execution of PEB erection and structural works on-site, coordinating teams, and managing daily activities. 

Project Engineer:

Manages and coordinates site activities, provides technical guidance to the site engineer and team, and acts as a liaison between various project stakeholders. 

Erection Engineer:

Focuses on the technical aspects of assembling the prefabricated components, ensuring they are correctly installed according to design. 

Design/Detailing Engineer:

Involved in the design and detailing of PEB structures, preparing bill of materials, and sometimes using software like Tekla for these tasks. 

Essential Skills and Knowledge

Technical Proficiency:

Understanding of pre-engineered building systems, structural fabrication, and erection techniques. 

Drawing Interpretation:

Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and erection drawings. 

Site Management:

Experience in planning, managing, and executing construction activities on a site. 

Communication Skills:

Effective communication with various stakeholders, including workers, clients, and other engineers. 

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify and resolve construction-related challenges efficiently.
