Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with experience in the manufacturing industry to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions in Hyderabad. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4-6 years of relevant work experience. If you have a strong background in cost accounting and are proficient in Tally ERP and manufacturing industry practices, we invite you to apply.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in cost accounting with a proven track record in the manufacturing industry (Mandatory skill).
- Proficiency in the use of Tally ERP software for managing financial transactions and statements (Mandatory skill).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Experience with inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock records and optimize inventory levels.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial reporting and compliance.
- Ability to prepare budget forecasts and financial planning in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of cost management and reduction techniques within manufacturing operations.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify financial discrepancies and provide corrective action plans.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual results for decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and conduct regular audits.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to understand cost behavior and implement cost-control measures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls in financial reporting.
- Develop and implement best practices for financial reporting within the organization.
- Provide strategic financial insights to management for driving business objectives.
