Job Title - Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) SpecialistLocation - Bangalore (Yemalur)Years of experience -10 to 13 yearsJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with specialized expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of comprehensive DevOps experience with deep knowledge of containerization, orchestration, CI/CD,Helm and cloud-native technologies. This role requires a strategic thinker who can architect scalable solutions, mentor team members, and drive DevOps best practices across the organization while leading our Azure Kubernetes initiatives.Key Responsibilities- Architect, design, and implement enterprise-grade AKS clusters with multi-environment strategies (dev, staging, production) - Lead the migration of legacy applications to containerized workloads on AKS - Design and implement advanced networking solutions including service mesh, Nginx ingress controllers, and network policies - Establish AKS governance frameworks, resource quotas, and namespace strategies - Implement advanced AKS features including pod identity, cluster autoscaler, and virtual nodes - Design and implement comprehensive CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins - Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform and ARM templates - Design and manage artifact repositories and container registries with security scanning - Develop and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes application packaging and deployments. - Build self-service platforms and developer tooling to accelerate application delivery - Implement comprehensive observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack - Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for containerized workloads - Automate operational tasks including backup strategies, patch management, and capacity planning - Implement comprehensive security frameworks including Pod Security Standards, network policies, and admission controllers - Mentor DevOps engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices - Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for cloud-native environments - Lead architectural reviews and provide recommendations for system improvements - 6-8 years of DevOps/AKS experience with strong focus on containerization and orchestration - Expert-level proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Kubernetes ecosystem - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM templates) - hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub) - understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, containerd, CRI-O) - Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Go) - Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native design patterns
