Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Architecture:
  • Define and communicate the architectural vision and strategy of the client.
  • Ensure the architecture aligns with business goals and technical standards.
  • Develop and maintain the architecture for new and existing applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Work with development teams to design and implement application components, including user interfaces, APIs, and data layers.
  • Utilize architectural patterns and principles to guide the design of flexible and efficient applications.
  • Address cross-cutting concerns such as security, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Implement solutions for authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Application Development:
  • Design and oversee the implementation of enterprise applications using Java EE or .NET.
  • Ensure best practices in Java EE development, including performance optimization, scalability, and security.
  • Cloud Services Utilization:
  • Design and implement solutions leveraging cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for compute, storage, databases, messaging, and AI/ML.
  • Optimize the use of cloud-native services such as serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), managed databases (Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database), and container services (Amazon ECS, Azure Kubernetes Service).
  • Integrate cloud services to enhance application functionality, scalability, and performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud services and integrate them into the architecture as appropriate.
  • Modern Architectural Patterns:
  • Apply new architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and patterns to improve system capabilities.
  • Hands-On Development and PoC:
  • Independently develop and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate architectural approaches and new technologies.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with other architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency and alignment.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams on best practices and architectural standards.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Documentation and Standards:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
