Description : QA Engineer (CSG Singleview/Intermediate Billing)Role Overview : This role is for a dedicated QA Engineer with specialized experience in testing complex, large-scale billing and revenue management platforms.The position requires mandatory hands-on testing experience with CSG Singleview or CSGI Intermediate applications, making domain knowledge in the telecom or utilities sector essential.The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of these mission-critical systems through a combination of manual and automation testing.Job Summary : We are seeking a QA Engineer with mandatory testing experience on CSG Singleview or CSGI Intermediate platforms. The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of Unix and SQL for data validation and log analysis, and a good understanding of both manual and automation testing methodologies. Any proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, Perl) to enhance testing efficiency will be highly valued. This role involves rigorous quality assurance to maintain the integrity of complex billing and charging processes.Key Responsibilities and Testing Deliverables : - Specialized Application Testing : Must have hands-on testing experience on CSGI Singleview or CSGI Intermediate applications. This includes functional, regression, performance, and system integration testing within the billing domain.- Backend Validation and Analysis : Apply more than basic knowledge of Unix for log file analysis, service monitoring, process management, and executing scripts within the testing environment.- Data Integrity Verification : Utilize more than basic knowledge of SQL to perform data validation, complex querying, data setup, and integrity checks directly against the underlying databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) that support the billing systems.- Testing Strategy Execution : Demonstrate a Good understanding of manual and automation testing principles, ensuring appropriate test coverage is achieved across all features and fixes.- Automation and Scripting : Leverage Any scripting (shell/python/perl) knowledge will be added advantage to contribute to test case automation, build automated data generation tools, or streamline environment setup processes.- Test Documentation : Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, defect reports, and traceability matrices.Mandatory Skills & Qualifications : - Domain Expertise : Mandatory testing experience on CSGI Singleview or CSGI Intermediate applications.- Technical Fundamentals : More than basic knowledge of Unix (command line operations, logging) and SQL (complex querying, data manipulation).- Testing Methodology : Good understanding of manual and automation testing methodologies.Preferred Skills : - Proficiency in scripting (shell/python/perl) for test automation or utility development.- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and test management tools (e.g., HP ALM).- Familiarity with billing concepts such as rating, invoicing, revenue assurance, and mediation.- Experience with CI/CD integration for automated testing pipelines.
