Pneumatic Power Tools & Company Private Limited is a manufacturer and exporter of air and manual-operated tensioners, sealers, strap cutters.


We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components, systems, and products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, performance, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities


  • Conceptualization & Design: Develop innovative mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Product Development: Create detailed 2D/3D models, technical drawings, and specifications for components and assemblies.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Work with prototyping teams to build and test designs, making necessary modifications based on performance evaluations.
  • Analysis & Optimization: Perform engineering calculations, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and material selection to ensure durability and efficiency.
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, software, and quality engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete systems.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare design reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.


Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD software
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of GD&T, material science, FEA, and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to create precise and optimized designs.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
  • Knowledge of industry standards
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and 3D printing.
