We are looking for an energetic Senior AWS Cloud Support Engineer. The Senior AWS Cloud Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to customers and ensuring the smooth operation of cloud-based systems. The role involves troubleshooting issues, configuring cloud environments, optimizing performance, and providing guidance on best practices in cloud architecture. The engineer will work closely with clients and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure optimal use of AWS services.

Office Hours: 11.00 PM to 8.00 AM (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:


Technical Support:


  • Provide 24/7 technical support for AWS infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based systems, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
  • Assist customers in deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
  • Cloud Operations:
  • Monitor system performance and ensure that systems are running efficiently and reliably.
  • Manage and maintain cloud environments, including provisioning, configuration, and scaling of resources.
  • Perform system health checks, backup and recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning.


Customer Engagement:


  • Engage with customers to understand their technical challenges and provide solutions using AWS services.
  • Document customer issues, resolutions, and best practices to contribute to knowledge base and improve future support experiences.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on AWS best practices, tools, and services.


Collaboration and Communication:


  • Work closely with internal teams, including development, operations, and sales, to provide holistic support to customers.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support and escalation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing, to convey technical information and solutions.



Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical support or systems administration role, preferably with cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).


Skills:

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk, ELK stack).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.


Certifications (preferred):

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar AWS certifications.
