Overall Objectives of Job:


Candidate is responsible fr

  • Design, develop, and implement efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other relevant tools.
  • Create data transformation processes using SQL, Python, or Spark to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources
  • Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline with IDMC tools.
  • Provide data for advanced analytics, machine learning models, and reporting.
  • Maintain and create data model and design based on business requirements.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse dedicates SQL pools, shared SQL pools and Spark.
  • Prepare consumption layer for PowerBI reporting.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts on Azure.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or other data warehousing solutions
  • Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and other services.
  • Familiarity with tools and languages used for data transformation, such as SQL, Python, or Spark.
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and integration tasks.
  • Excellent understanding of core Azure services like Azure Storage, Azure Synapse dedicated Sql pools, Azure Data Lake, PowerBI, and Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Understanding of Azure Data Lake architecture, data storage, and management is an added advantage.
  • Good Team player and demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate with other technical, functional team members to deliver projects on time. 
  • Exposure to SDLC and Agile process.


Qualification, Experience, Technical and Functional Skills

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering or a Postgraduate in non-engineering disciplines      
  • Experience of 6 to 9 years.
  • Advanced level certification on data engineering in at least one cloud platform, Azure preferred.
  • Proven Experience in data modelling concepts
  • At least 3–4-years of experience in data engineering technologies

  • Azure Synapse & SQL Pools: Strong understanding of dedicated/shared SQL pools, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

  • Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning: Experience in providing data for advanced analytics and machine learning models.

  • Team Collaboration & Agile: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
