Position : Application Security Engineer

Location : Pune and Bangalore, India

Job Description :

Programming.com is seeking highly skilled and experienced Application Security Engineers to join our team in Pune and Bangalore. As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our applications by performing manual code reviews, threat modeling, and implementing security measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform manual code reviews and threat modeling to identify potential security vulnerabilities.

- Utilize SCA (Software Composition Analysis), SAST (Static Application Security Testing), and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) tools to assess application security.

- Demonstrate deep technical knowledge in identifying, triaging, and remediating application vulnerabilities, including familiarity with the OWASP Top 10.

- Work with a variety of development tools, languages, and environments such as Python, Go Lang, Terraform, .NET, Java, PHP, and Node.js.

- Experience with cloud orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC).

- Familiarity with various cloud providers, particularly AWS and GCP.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in developing and securing applications in AWS.

- Security certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, GIAC, and AWS are highly desirable.

- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

- Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 4-8 years of experience performing manual code review and threat modeling.

- 4-8 years of experience with SCA, SAST, and DAST application security tools.

- Proficiency in a variety of development tools, languages, and environments.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
