Noida, India Transcend Infosystems Pvt Ltd Full time

We seek an experienced software tester to join our product team at Transcend Infosystems Private Limited. As a software tester, you will oversee quality assurance activities associated with software analysis. This includes developing test plans, performing exploratory testing and executing functional and regression testing. You will work closely with development, product management and support teams to ensure the product is ready for release.


Key Responsibilities:

· Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.

· Test Planning and Documentation: Assist in creating test cases, test plans, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

· Defect Identification: Identify, report, and track defects using a bug-tracking system, ensuring proper documentation and reproduction steps.

· Collaboration: Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to communicate issues and verify resolutions.

· Test Reporting: Provide detailed feedback on test results, including summary reports of test progress and defects.

· Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes don't negatively impact existing features.


Skills and Qualifications:

· Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

· Problem-solving skills: Ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues independently or in collaboration with others.

· Familiarity with Tools: Experience or familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools is a plus.

· Basic Knowledge of Databases: The ability to execute simple SQL queries to validate data integrity is a plus.

· Understanding of SDLC: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodology is beneficial.

· Operating Systems: Familiarity with different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).


Preferred Skills:

· Test Automation: Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is an advantage.

· Experience with Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.

· Basic Programming Knowledge: Understanding of basic programming or scripting (e.g., C programming, , Java, JavaScript) is a plus.
