Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee and manage the successful delivery of our technical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies, client management, team coordination, and project planning, with expertise in Jira, Jira Flow, and reporting. This role focuses on leading scrum teams, managing multiple pods within the product team, planning sprints, managing releases, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Agile Leadership:
  • Lead and facilitate daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across multiple pods within the product team.
  • Guide the teams in adopting agile best practices and principles to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Pod Management:
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of various pods within the product team, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between pods to maximize efficiency and synergy.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution:
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Plan and manage sprint goals for each pod, ensuring that deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
  • Monitor sprint progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Release Management & Estimation:
  • Coordinate and manage the release process, including scheduling, testing, and deployment.
  • Define and manage the scope of each release, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Provide accurate release estimations to align with project timelines and client expectations.
  • Prioritize features and tasks within the release to ensure the most critical elements are delivered on time.
  • Maintain and update release documentation, including a detailed changelog.
  • Scope Management & Client Communication:
  • Work closely with clients to understand and communicate requirements, ensuring that project scope is clearly defined.
  • Manage scope changes through a formal approval process, ensuring that all changes are documented and agreed upon by stakeholders.
  • Communicate scope changes and their impact on the timeline, budget, and deliverables to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain a changelog to track all modifications to the project scope, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Roadmap Planning:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for the entire year, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the roadmap aligns with business goals and client expectations.
  • Regularly review and adjust the roadmap based on project progress, changes in scope, and emerging priorities.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation:
  • Identify potential risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor risks throughout the project and adjust plans as necessary to minimize their impact.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are aware of potential risks and the measures in place to address them.
  • Jira Management:
  • Maintain a strong hold on Jira and Jira Flow, using these tools to track project progress, manage tasks, and generate reports.
  • Customize Jira workflows to suit the needs of different pods and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Create detailed Jira reports to provide insights into project status, team performance, and potential bottlenecks.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including release notes, technical documentation, and project status reports.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date and reflects the current state of the project.
  • Client Management:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, set expectations, and define project timelines.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, outlining project plans, progress, and outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and ongoing collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the technical team and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project goals, progress, and challenges to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in agile project management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Expertise in Jira, Jira Flow, and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and release management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.



Work Environment:
  • This position may require occasional travel.
  • Flexible working hours with the possibility of remote work.
