Overview :

Recrud, a leader in tech recruitment, is actively seeking a Principal Backend Engineer for its prestigious client in the fintech sector.

This role demands a visionary professional capable of shaping the backbone of financial technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development, with at least seven years of experience, preferably within the fintech :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend systems that handle large volumes of transactions.

- Lead architectural decisions and provide guidance on best practices in backend development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve holistic business goals.

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing infrastructure.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.

- Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve.

- Document development phases and monitor systems.

- Identify, assess, and solve complex, technical problems with robust, sustainable solutions.

- Lead by example in code and overall development practices, setting a high bar for other :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in backend development, with hands-on expertise in using modern programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, or Go.

- Proven track record of developing high-scale, secure, and reliable software systems.

- Extensive experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database management.

- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of financial systems and regulatory environments is highly desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
