We want engineers that enjoy testing modular software designed to scale and built to last. We are looking for a stellar Quality Assurance Engineer to work on the team of software experts and architects to deliver the Blue Planet Inventory and service provisioning platform that encompasses work in the areas of path computation, feasibility check, service fulfilment, service provisioning and activation, network and inventory management.What you will do as a Blue Planet Inventory Quality Assurance Engineer?Your primary activities will include:Design, develop and implement comprehensive QA test plans and test cases, tools and infrastructure for assigned areas of the network inventory management and service provisioning.Run regression tests and perform both white and black box testing.Perform all aspects of verification, including functional, structural, regression, stress, stability and system testing.Document, troubleshoot, and isolate problems encountered during testing.Design, develop and implement complex test automation both at the functional and system level.Work with other members of the team to improve our processes, tools, methods, effectiveness and efficiency.Setup test environments in the lab for feature development and testing, troubleshoot and isolate problems with development lab, and assist with the setup of demo deployments in the field.Manage the development lab equipment including setup, troubleshooting, and configuration.Help drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement with an emphasis on test automation, technical curiosity, and data-driven decision making.Ongoing communication with developers making sure all the new features are being added to the test planSkills and Experience:Implement manual and end-to-end automated tests plans for User Interface frontends with Protractor, Jasmine and CucumberImplement manual and automated end-to-end test plans for ReST API using SoapUI, Postman, or other tools5+ years cumulative experience of testing commercial software with 3+ years’ experience in automation and manual testing of network inventory management, service fulfilment and provisioning software.A strong technical background coupled with in-depth experience testing under Linux/Unix. Knowledge of testing Network Management systems is a plus.Extensive background in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites for system software.Effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems, and analysis of test results that may require investigating data in the database (writing queries, etc)Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for a self-motivated team player to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive on technical challenges.Knowledge of OSS Inventory and Automation domain with experience in telecom technologies such as EDI, EPL, EVPL, SDWAN, Dark Fiber, OTT, DWDM/OTN, SONET, MPLS, GPON, FTTH etc. Experience in transport domain is a plus.Experience with virtualization: Docker, Vagrant, Openstack, VMware, KVM, libvirtKnowledge of GitLab and GitLAB CI/CD ToolsExperience with Postman, TeamCity, JIRA and Testrail testing toolsBS/MS degree in Computer Science/EE or equivalentImmediate joiners are preferred, apply here or connect me at zahid.h@acldigital.com
