Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Onshore Oil & Gas Location:Chennai Experience:5–15 Years (Oil & Gas – Onshore Projects) Job Description: We are looking for an experiencedElectrical Engineerwith a strong background inonshore oil & gas projects , to join our engineering team in Vadodara. The ideal candidate will be responsible for electrical system design, technical evaluations, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities: PerformHV, MV & LV electrical system design , load calculations, cable sizing, lighting calculations, and grounding system design. Prepare and reviewsingle-line diagrams (SLD), cable schedules, layouts, and electrical deliverablesas per project requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation) for integrated design solutions. Ensure all electrical designs comply withIEC, IS, IEEE, and O&G industry standards . Preparetechnical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions , and evaluate vendor quotations. Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications, engineering approvals, and equipment selection. Support site teams during construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. Review and approve engineering drawings, documents, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards. Participate inHAZOP, safety reviews, and constructability reviews . Ensure timely execution of engineering tasks as per project schedule. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge ofonshore oil & gas electrical systems . Proficiency inETAP, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, and MS Office . Hands-on experience in preparing engineering deliverables. Understanding ofelectrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, generators, etc.) . Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight schedules. Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. M.Tech in Electrical Engineering .
