As a Senior Product Designer, you will define and craft the user experience. You’ll be collaborating with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centered designs. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Projects: Responsible for the design process from concept to execution, ensuring a seamless and cohesive user experience across multiple touchpoints
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other stakeholders to understand product goals and translate them into effective design solutions
  • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, testing, and feedback sessions to inform design decisions and ensure a focus on the end user
  • Prototyping: Create interactive prototypes to explore design solutions and communicate ideas to stakeholders.
  • Design Systems: Contribute to and help maintain our design systems to ensure consistency across products
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to associate product designers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Keep up with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance our design processes


Expectations:
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • AI Advancements: Ability to keep up with AI advancements in terms of new GenAI products and services
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects across web and mobile applications
  • Skills: Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Proficiency in prototyping tools like InVision, Framer, or similar is a plus
  • User Research: Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering user insights to inform design decisions
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about both short-term and long-term design decisions
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for aesthetics and detail, ensuring pixel-perfect design execution
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field, or equivalent experience


Good to have skills:
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Experience with motion design and animation
  • Basic understanding of User Research methodologies
  • Design Degree (Visual communication, Graphic Design, Interaction Design or Human-Computer Interaction or Anthropology) would be a plus
  • Participate in the enrichment of the design community within and outside of smartSense


Experience:
  • Overall 6+ years of relevant experience working as a Product Designer with strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detailing
