Role Overview
The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the hospital's quality management systems. This role is central to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving continuous quality improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities (KRA)
- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with NABH and NABL standards
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with clinical and non-clinical protocols
- Drive hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and monitor performance indicators
- Identify process inefficiencies and initiate corrective/preventive action plans
- Ensure readiness for accreditation audits and regulatory inspections
- Liaise with department heads and functional teams to resolve quality-related issues
- Conduct training programs for staff on quality standards and best practices
- Review and analyze patient feedback, incident reports, and clinical outcomes to identify trends and implement improvements
- Maintain documentation and records required for audits and compliance
- Lead root cause analysis and implement evidence-based solutions for quality gaps
- Promote a culture of patient safety, service excellence, and operational effectiveness
Required Skillsets
- In-depth knowledge of NABH, NABL, ISO, and other healthcare quality standards
- Strong understanding of clinical and administrative processes in a hospital setting
- Proven expertise in internal quality audits, gap analysis, and process documentation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Analytical skills for data interpretation, performance monitoring, and reporting
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive change initiatives
- Strong presentation and training skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements in healthcare
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, or a related field
- MBA in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or equivalent preferred
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CPHQ, Six Sigma) is an added advantage
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in quality management in a healthcare environment
