KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • To design multipage promotion product catalogues (for print and digital media) based on product information content and images provided by the customer. 
  • Timeliness and high quality of the output is required for the success of Metro Cash and Carry stores' (in different countries) time bound promotional activities. 
  • Visual appeal of the output is important to attract customers to the Metro brand. 
  • Understanding the customer's requirements and developing the output based on set templates and customer's needs.
  • Developing a high-quality output keeping time and production constraints in mind. 
  • Should be comfortable in working with foreign languages and foreign customers. 
  • Preparing mock-ups and presenting to customers before deciding on a final design/concept, when a new layout is requested. 
  • Collaborating with team members to develop the different output types. 
  • Adhering to the customer's brand identity and guidelines. 
  • Being a keen learner to try new tools/ideas to help increase efficiency of the design process. 
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders about ideas, progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
  • Doing a self-review of all output to ensure that it meets highest quality standards and follows all graphics standards before being sent for internal quality checks. 
  • Should have experience in creating designs for print and digital media. 
  • Ability to multi-task i.e. work on multiple outputs at the same time and should have the ability to work under time constraints. 
  • Taking complete ownership of the deliverable from inception to completion. 
  • Flexibility to working in shifts for 1-2 weeks in a month for critical deliverables. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have at least 1-year hands-on experience in creating product catalogues using Adobe InDesign.
  • Must have knowledge is creating high-quality printing data of the deliverables 
  • Must be a skilled user of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. 
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines. 
  • Good communication skills to accurately communicate with the team and the customer. 
  • Mindful of customer's needs and the time associated with what is being delivered. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

We believe in an open culture. Our team members are encouraged to share and implement innovative ideas. However, 65% of the work involved will be related to working within a set framework (templates + process), but 35% of the work will involve creativity in terms of new designs/concepts/layout creation. 

We will provide complete freedom to the candidate to design the output, but the concept should be in-sync with customer requirements and with appropriate line managers' consent.
