The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Teacher to join the Preschool team at St Joseph’s School Hectorville Here's your chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future. As a member of our permanent teaching team, you'll be at the forefront of education, creating an inspiring and inclusive environment where students thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

Our Early Childhood Teachers in Preschool provide young children with a strong foundation for learning and development of their social and emotional skills in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework. You will:

  • Provide different experiences that develop social connections, cooperation and motor skills
  • Promote language development through storytelling, song and informal discussions
  • Modify the learning environment to support child development

About You

  • Current Teacher Registration in South Australia & Bachelor or Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Develop learning opportunities that are inclusive and engaging for each child so that individual learning plans and outcomes are achieved 
  • Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia Approach desirable
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with families, children and staff members

About Us

  • Current Teacher Registration in South Australia & Bachelor or Master of Teaching in Early Childhood Education
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and implementing intentional, play-based learning experiences that cater for diverse developmental needs and interests.
  • Ability to use a continuous cycle of observation and reflection to document children’s learning 
  • Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia Approach and the ability to bring its principles to life
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with families, children and staff members
