Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced BIM Modeler with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) to join our team and support the delivery of retail and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in BIM modeling, specifically using Autodesk Revit, and a deep understanding of the specific needs and challenges of retail and hospitality design. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models, creating detailed design documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that models are accurately aligned with the design intent for successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. BIM Model Creation and Coordination:
  • Develop and manage 3D BIM models for retail and hospitality projects using Autodesk Revit.
  • Ensure all architectural, structural, and MEP systems are accurately represented and integrated into the BIM model.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure proper coordination of the design across all disciplines.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or issues identified during model coordination and clash detection.
  1. Project Documentation and Drawings:
  • Generate construction documentation (plans, sections, elevations, and details) from the BIM model.
  • Ensure that all project documentation adheres to the design intent, client requirements, and relevant building codes.
  • Produce high-quality 2D drawings from 3D models, and manage the generation of schedules, door/window schedules, and other documentation required for retail and hospitality projects.
  1. Retail and Hospitality Design Specifics:
  • Apply knowledge of retail and hospitality design standards and practices, ensuring that the BIM model reflects the unique elements of these projects, such as large-scale floor layouts, guest amenities, hospitality zones (e.g., lobbies, dining areas, guest rooms), and high-traffic areas.
  • Support design teams in developing store layouts, retail fixtures, and hospitality space planning for optimized user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Understand and incorporate brand-specific design elements and aesthetic considerations that are key in retail and hospitality environments.
  1. BIM Coordination and Clash Detection:
  • Perform clash detection and model validation regularly using BIM software (e.g., Navisworks) to identify potential issues and conflicts between architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve conflicts and ensure the design intent is maintained.
  • Document and communicate clash detection results to the team, ensuring that all discrepancies are addressed before construction begins.
  1. Collaboration with Project Teams:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, MEP) to ensure that all aspects of the project are fully integrated into the BIM model.
  • Work closely with senior architects and project managers to ensure that the BIM model reflects the latest design changes and project milestones.
  • Participate in regular BIM coordination meetings to review model updates, provide technical input, and ensure seamless integration of all design components.
  1. Model Management and Updates:
  • Maintain, update, and organize the BIM model as the project progresses, ensuring that the model reflects the most current design information.
  • Oversee version control and ensure that all project files are properly managed, stored, and accessible for the project team.
  • Ensure that all drawings, models, and documentation are aligned with project deadlines and standards.
  1. Support Design Visualization and Client Presentations:
  • Assist the design team in generating 3D renderings, virtual walkthroughs, and visualization from the BIM model to support client presentations, design reviews, and marketing materials for retail and hospitality projects.
  • Use BIM models to help clients and stakeholders visualize the final design and suggest design improvements where necessary.
  1. Continuous Improvement and Professional Development:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM tools, software updates (Revit, Navisworks, etc.), and industry best practices.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to improve BIM skills, knowledge of retail and hospitality design, and software proficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (required), with experience in developing and managing BIM models for architectural projects.
  • A minimum of 9-12 years of experience working as a BIM Modeler, with a focus on retail and hospitality projects.
  • Familiarity with the unique challenges and design considerations of retail (e.g., storefronts, retail layouts, customer flow) and hospitality (e.g., guest rooms, lobbies, amenity spaces) projects.
  • Experience with clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks) and model coordination in a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and industry standards specific to retail and hospitality sectors.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate models and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.


Work Environment:

  • Full-time, office-based position .
  • Occasional site visits or travel for client meetings or project coordination may be required.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced work environment with an emphasis on teamwork and delivering high-quality design solutions.
