Position:

1. Position Title: AVP/VP Risk & Product

2. Location: Mumbai. Travel, as circumstances warrant

4. Team Handling Role

5. We hustle Monday - Friday (1st & 3rd Saturday too)

About Us:

700 Million Indians don't have any health insurance. India has the highest medical inflation rate in Asia at 14%, that's more than China (12%), Indonesia (10%), Vietnam (10%), and the Philippines (9%). 50% of healthcare expenses in India are paid out-of-pocket. The global average is 20%. 1 in 4 urban Indian households that have taken unsecured loans took them to cover medical expenses and this trend is expected to only increase in the coming years.

The CarePal group came into existence to provide financing solutions that bridge the Out of Pocket Expense Needs of Middle Class Indians.

The CarePal Group's vision is to build India's first and largest integrated healthcare financing eco-system.

We do this by bringing Medical Crowd-Funding, Lending and Health Assurance under a single umbrella through three operating entities.

1. ImpactGuru: India's largest medical crowd-funding platform.

2. CarePal Money: India's first medical lending marketplace.

3. CarePal Secure: New age healthcare protection marketplace.

Core Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain credit risk strategies and policies for different loan products

2. Continuously review and refine these policies to adapt to changing market conditions, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.

3. Monitor and analyze industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization's competitiveness.

4. Own and operate the FLDG/Risk Sharing Business as a business owner.

5. Work closely with the product and tech teams to build and deploy the technology systems needed to operate the FLDG business.

6. Work closely with the CBO when we decide to apply for our own NBFC license.

Required Skills & Experience

1. Between 5 and 8 years of overall experience.

2. Experience of underwriting and collections in the context of digital lending.

3. The ability and inclination to balance risk and business growth.

4. Strong Understanding of technology systems needed to power digital lending.

5. Awareness about the Digital Lending Guidelines and larger Lending Regulations.

6. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

7. Proficiency in data analytics and statistical tools.
