Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Create original clothing and accessory designs from concept to final product.
Develop mood boards, sketches, and prototypes for new collections.
Stay updated with current fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the design team to develop seasonal collections.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to understand market needs and consumer preferences.
Technical Skills:
Utilize design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to prototypes and final garments.
Oversee the selection of fabrics, colors, and trims for each collection.
Trend Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.
Attend fashion shows, events, and trade fairs to gather inspiration and stay ahead of industry trends.
Brand Development:
Ensure all designs align with the company’s brand identity and target audience.
Contribute innovative ideas to enhance brand visibility and market position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
4 years of professional experience in fashion design.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing creative and technical skills.
Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textiles.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with sustainable fashion practices.
Knowledge of digital fashion design tools and technologies.
Understanding of the global fashion market and consumer behavior.
