Position: Senior Data Engineer / Power BI Developer

Location: Hyderabad or Bangalore (Other locations will be considered for the right candidate)


Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Power BI Developer with experience of developing end to end analytics and dashboards in the life sciences or healthcare consulting industry based in Hyderabad or Bangalore, India ready to join our life sciences practice with a unique growth opportunity. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our digital team directly interacting with customers to build bespoke analytic solutions to solve their business problems. The candidate will collaborate with our content matter experts and consultants while gaining a detailed understanding of internal and external data sets (e.g., registrations data, health authority correspondence, regulatory intelligence, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the consulting team to lead end to end development and technical delivery of analytic and digital projects.
  • Collaborate with the consulting team to capture and document customer requirements
  • Experience with Power BI and Tableau (additional BI tools would be preferred) - Design and build new custom Power BI OR Tableau dashboards to meet project requirements. A creative approach and a detailed understanding of Power BI would be a key advantage.
  • Establishing effective Power BI data relationships.
  • Experience with Data modeling to create a repeatable ETL and data model to serve data to Power BI OR Tableau dashboards.
  • Building a pre-sales proof of concepts for clients before engaging in full end to end development of the final dashboard solution.
  • Document end to end solution including; data sources, data models, Power BI dashboards and portal features.


Key skills


  • Intermediate/advanced Power BI / Tableau and Tableau Server experience
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Query, etc is required
  • Understanding of text and data mining techniques is preferred
  • Understanding and ability to manipulate and join multiple diverse datasets
  • Experience in connecting and working with different types of data sources, for example, SQL and APIs
  • Consulting experience with an ability to interface directly with clients 
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and critical thinking while working with customers to deliver the final solution
  • Adept at conducting research
  • Competencies with Powerpoint and advanced Excel
  • Self motivated


Required Qualifications: 

  • Degree in computer science, Engineering from Top Tier schools (IIT, IIM, ISB)
  • Minimum of four to six years of work experience related within the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry
  • Prior consulting experience especially leading projects within M&A, Regulatory Affairs, Labeling, and Supply Chain is preferred
