Job Overview:

Cloudologix is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Senior Engineer with expertise in managing cloud environments, particularly in handling IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions using Terraform and DevOps practices, alongside Windows Server Management. A solid understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Networking concepts is a significant advantage.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Management:
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop solutions using Terraform and DevOps pipelines for automation, ensuring scalable and secure virtual environments.
  • Terraform & DevOps Practices:
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management through Terraform and ensure integration with DevOps processes for continuous delivery and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Windows Server Management:
  • Oversee and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently within Azure.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:
  • Implement and manage backup strategies for virtual machines, databases, and storage within Azure. Ensure disaster recovery (DR) plans are documented, tested, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Security & Compliance:
  • Ensure that all cloud infrastructure and AVD environments are secure by implementing best practices for identity and access management (IAM), security policies, and monitoring tools.
  • Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor system performance, detect issues, and troubleshoot problems related to Azure services, networking, and Windows Servers. Manage error logs, cleanup jobs, and implement restart strategies as needed.
  • Active Directory (AD) & Networking Support:
  • Manage Active Directory integrations, and support networking aspects of the cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS configurations.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including setup, configurations, SOPs, and incident reports. Provide regular status updates to management and key stakeholders.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in managing Azure environments, with specific expertise in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions and Windows Server management.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure services including Virtual Machines, Storage, Azure SQL, App Services, and Azure AD.
  • Proficiency in managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions through Terraform and DevOps.
  • Experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Terraform, Azure DevOps) for managing infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Understanding of networking, including VNETs, VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • DevOps & Automation:
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Security & Backup Management:
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience with backup and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues in Azure and Windows Server environments.
  • Certifications:
  • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
