Big Hammer AIIndia is looking for aAzure Cloud Engineerto lead the design, development, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure. As a key technical leader, you will set the direction for cloud architecture, scalability, and security, while also mentoring engineering teams and partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.Company Description: AtBighammer, we are building agent-driven data platforms that rethink how teams interact with infrastructure, analysis, observability, data processing. Our goal is simple: make data systems smarter, more autonomous, and radically easier to work with.Key Responsibilities Azure Architecture & Engineering Design, build, and optimize scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure. Provide deep technical guidance across Azure services (VMs, Networking, AKS, Storage, AAD, Key Vault, Functions, App Services, etc.). Infrastructure as Code & Automation Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform (preferred) and other IaC tools. Write reusable modules, enforce coding standards, and implement automated deployments (CI/CD). Debugging & Troubleshooting Resolve complex issues across networking, compute, identity, storage, and platform services. Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures. DevOps & Continuous Delivery Implement and support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent). Ensure security, compliance, and reliability are embedded in delivery pipelines. Collaboration & Leadership Mentor engineers and developers on cloud best practices. Partner with stakeholders to design cloud-native solutions aligned with business needs. Continuous Learning Stay up-to-date with Azure updates, DevOps trends, and cloud-native innovations. Contribute to knowledge sharing and internal technical communities.Required Qualifications 5 + years Hands-on expertisein Azure cloud services, architecture, and operations. Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) backgroundwith Terraform (mandatory). Experience indebugging and resolving complex Azure service issues . Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.). Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance. Expertise withAzure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools . Active learnerwith strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Must hold at least oneAzure-related DevOps certification , such as: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociatePreferred Qualifications Multi-cloud experience (AWS, GCP) in addition to Azure. Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerization. Strong background in observability, monitoring, and performance tuning. Previous experience in aPrincipal/Lead EngineerorArchitect-level role .Soft Skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to lead by example and mentor team members. Passion for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
