Product Development Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking aProduct Development Engineerwith a strong background in polymer processing, materials engineering, or mechanical engineering to join our team. The candidate will be responsible fordesigning, developing, and testing fluoropolymer-based products and componentsfor industrial applications such as pumps, valves, corrosion-resistant systems, and high-purity solutions. This role involves close collaboration withOEM customers, internal production teams, and quality departmentsto deliver cost-effective, innovative, and reliable products that meet industry standards (ASTM, ASME, etc.).Key Responsibilities Design and develop new products and components using fluoropolymers (PTFE, PFA, FEP, etc.) based on customer/OEM requirements. Support prototype development, process optimization, and product validation activities. Work closely with manufacturing teams onmolding, machining, lining, and fabrication processes. Conductmaterial selection, testing, and failure analysisto improve product performance. Prepare and maintaintechnical documentationsuch as drawings, BOMs, and product specifications. Ensure compliance withASTM/ASME standardsand customer-specific requirements. Provide technical support duringcustomer discussions, audits, and project reviews. Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders toreduce cost and improve quality. Supportcontinuous improvement initiativesfor existing product lines.Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge ofpolymer materials(especially fluoropolymers) and mechanical properties. Familiarity withplastic molding, machining, extrusion, and lining techniques. Proficiency inCAD software(AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Understanding ofASTM, ASME, and other industrial standards. Problem-solving mindset withroot cause analysiscapability. Good understanding ofmanufacturing processesandDFM (Design for Manufacturing)principles. Effective communication skills forcross-functional collaboration. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.Education & Experience B.E./B.Techin Mechanical, Polymer, or Materials Engineering 2–5 years of experience inproduct development, R&D, or process engineering(fluoropolymers/polymers preferred). Experience with3D modeling, product testing, and process optimizationis desirable. Freshers with exceptional academic records and relevant project work may be considered for junior roles.
