Responsibilities/ Skillsets:

  • Hands on experience in analysis design of steel components in buildings like high-rises, stadiums, pedestrian bridges, airports, malls, industrial sheds etc.
  • Knowledge of international Codes and Standards
  • Understanding of loads & load paths
  • Understanding of Seismic and Wind load parameters with code design approaches
  • Knowledge of various steel profiles used internationally.
  • Knowledge about Steel connections to concrete.
  • Ability to work in a team, lead a team of junior engineers and technicians to deliver quality drawings and documents.
  • Preparation of technical reports & presentations
  • Preparation of Bill of Quantities
  • Prepare Design criteria reports, presentations.
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills in English.
  • Should be open for short travel and deputation to other countries/offices, when required.
  • Technical report writing skills.
  • Exposure to construction techniques and practices
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings of other trades – Architectural, MEP etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve structural engineering problems encountered during design process.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends.


Requirements:

  • Candidate should have core design experience of 3+ years mainly in design of steel structures.
  • Good experience of using software like SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD-Pro, Idea Statica, Ram connection, Limcon etc.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD
  • Work experience in Gulf countries with international codes preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in structural engineering from reputed institute preferably through GATE qualification.
