Position Overview:
The Head of Portfolio Management Sales will oversee the firm's equity portfolio management function, driving the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the portfolio management team.
This role involves developing and executing investment strategies, managing portfolio performance, and ensuring alignment with client objectives and risk tolerances.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in equity management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving sales targets and developments of PMS/AIF markets.
- Focus on increasing the premium client base of PMS investors by acquiring maximum revenue generation platforms and clients, UHNIs and HNIs.
- Create lead generation campaigns to drive customer acquisition, organize events with partners and retail customers to drive sales.
- Build customer relationships, develop and strengthen relationships with all Intermediaries as well as direct clients.
- Regularly educate and inform the team on the ground about PMS development by conducting sessions on a periodic basis.
- Managing pan India sales with complete ownership of developing the PMS business to around 10000Cr AUM by 2026.
- Drive Equentis PMS proactively to be ranked amongst top 20 by 2025 and within top 10 by 2026 & top 5 by 2027.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing portfolio management team.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-oriented culture within the team.
- Provide thought leadership on market trends, investment opportunities, and risk management.
- Complete regular reviews with clients to understand their current and long-term financial needs and advise them on the differentiated products and services that help them achieve their wealth goals.
- Collaborate with the wider team to deliver the performance measures and plan to support the multi-channel client journey.
- Should do distributors tie-ups upfront in order to maximize the revenue.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in equity portfolio management, with at least 10-12 years in a leadership role.
Note: Candidate should have experience in core PMS sales.
