About Us We are a growing company expanding our operations in Canada and the United States. With many of our accounting processes already automated, we’re looking for a highly detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant to support financial operations, manage reconciliations, and handle the more complex accounting and tax matters our systems cannot automate.✨ Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooksOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, including preparing and scheduling paymentsHandle reconciliation of bank, credit card, and payment accountsManage edge cases and exceptions not covered by our automated systemsAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsSupport Canadian tax compliance (GST/HST, payroll remittances, year-end filing)Assist with U.S. tax-related tasks as we expand into the U.S.Maintain accurate classification of transactions and general ledger recordsIdentify and suggest improvements to financial workflows and automation logic🧾 RequirementsStrong knowledge of QuickBooks (mandatory)Experience with payments, billing, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial trackingComfortable with technology and working in a highly automated environmentAbility to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies and handle non-standard casesKnowledge of Canadian tax processes preferredFamiliarity with U.S. tax is an assetExtremely detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skillsExcellent communication and ability to work independentlyPrior bookkeeping or accounting experience (small business/startup experience is a plus)💡 Nice-to-Have SkillsCross-border tax knowledge (Canada/USA)Experience optimizing accounting automations or workflowsFamiliarity with payment platforms and financial reporting tools📨 How to ApplyTo apply, please email your resume, hourly rate expectation, and a brief summary of your experience with QuickBooks, technology-driven accounting, and tax preparation to: hiring@rivetstays.comWe look forward to reviewing your application
