About the RoleWe’re looking for a skilled and creativeFreelance WordPress Developerto support our team in building, customizing, and enhancing our WordPress-based websites. You’ll play a key role inrevamping website designs , buildingcustom themes , and developingWordPress pluginsto support user-facing functionalityResponsibilitiesDesign and implement modern, responsive WordPress websites. Revamp and enhance existing WordPress site layouts and styling. Build and maintaincustom WordPress themes(from scratch or using builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.). Developcustom WordPress pluginsto extend site functionality and integrate with third-party services or APIs. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization. Collaborate with design, content, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Troubleshoot and resolve site issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks. Stay updated on WordPress best practices and emerging trends.RequirementsProven experience as a WordPress developer (3+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Experience building and customizingthemesandplugins . Familiarity with page builders likeElementor ,Gutenberg , or similar. Comfortable working withFigmaor other design tools to translate UI into code. Experience with version control systems likeGit . Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with headless WordPress or integration with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js). Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization. Exposure to frontend engineeringWhat You’ll Work OnRevamping our WordPress-based internal websites and blogs. Developing reusable themes and templates for multiple properties. Creating lightweight, secure WordPress plugins tailored to content pricing.
