Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Oracle EBS WMS Functional Consultant with over 10 years of dedicated experience to lead the rollout and optimization of Warehouse Management System (WMS) modules within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12. The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on functional expertise in Oracle WMS and associated modules, coupled with a proven track record in complex system configuration, detailed business process analysis, technical-functional collaboration, and comprehensive end-user support. This role is critical for ensuring the successful implementation, seamless integration, and continuous improvement of our warehouse and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Full Lifecycle WMS Implementation Leadership :

- Lead the functional implementation and rollout of Oracle WMS modules across various business units, including Oracle Warehouse Management (WMS), Oracle Inventory, Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA), and Intellinum solutions.

- Drive end-to-end project phases from discovery and design through build, testing, and go-live.

Requirements & Solution Design :

- Conduct in-depth requirements gathering sessions with key business stakeholders (e.g., warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain planning).

- Perform detailed fit-gap analysis between Oracle WMS standard functionalities and complex business requirements, proposing optimal solutions.

- Create comprehensive functional design specifications (FDS), process flow diagrams, and configuration documents.

System Configuration & Rules Engine Expertise :

- Execute meticulous configuration of Oracle EBS WMS modules including :

- Organization Parameters, Subinventories, Locators.

- Rules Engine setup (Allocation rules, Picking rules, Put away rules, Labeling rules, Cost Group rules, Cartonization rules).

- Wave planning, task management, cross-docking, and directed picking/putaway strategies.

- Customization of label printing using XML Publisher/BI Publisher.

- Configure and optimize MSCA (Mobile Supply Chain Applications) screens and transactions for handheld Collaboration & Integration :

- Collaborate extensively with technical teams (e.g., developers, integration specialists) to design, review, and validate customizations (CEMLI components) and complex integrations.

- Work on integrating WMS with other Oracle EBS modules (e.g., Order Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing), and potentially 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) or other external supply chain systems.

- Provide functional guidance for API calls, interface designs, and data mapping for inbound/outbound integrations.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Develop detailed test plans and scripts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing specific to WMS processes.

- Perform rigorous system integration testing (SIT) and coordinate comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.

- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, and ensure their timely resolution and retesting.

Training & Documentation :

- Develop and deliver comprehensive end-user training programs and materials for Oracle WMS functionalities.

- Create and maintain detailed functional design documents, configuration guides, user manuals, and post-go-live support documentation.

Post-Go-Live Support & Optimization :

- Provide critical post-go-live support, addressing production issues, troubleshooting errors, and ensuring system stability.

- Proactively identify opportunities for WMS process optimization and system enhancements to improve warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience

Oracle EBS WMS Functional Expertise :

- 10+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS Functional experience, with a primary and strong focus on Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Inventory modules.

- Proven end-to-end experience with at least two full-cycle WMS implementations in Oracle R12, from requirements to go-live and post-production support.

Deep Module Knowledge :

- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle WMS setups, including Organization Parameters, Subinventories, Locators, and extensive experience with the WMS Rules Engine (e.g., put away rules, picking rules, task dispatch rules, cartonization, cost group rules, label printing rules).

- Strong functional understanding and configuration experience with Oracle Inventory (items, UOMs, transactions, reservations, allocations).

- Hands-on experience with Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA) setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for warehouse operations.

- Familiarity with Intellinum or similar mobile data collection solutions integrated with Oracle WMS.

Warehouse Process Mastery :

- In-depth understanding of core warehouse processes including Receiving (ASN, PO Receipts), Put Away strategies, Internal Movements, Replenishment, Picking (various methods), Packing, Staging, Shipping (LTL, FTL), Cycle Counting, and Physical Acumen :

- Strong ability to read and interpret technical specifications and communicate effectively with Oracle technical teams (developers, DBAs).

- Familiarity with the underlying technical architecture of Oracle EBS and data models related to WMS and Inventory.

Oracle R12 Environment :

- In-depth knowledge of the Oracle R12 EBS environment, navigation, and cross-module integrations.

Analytical & Problem-Solving :

- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills to identify complex business issues and translate them into effective system solutions.

Communication & Stakeholder Management :

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex functional and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

- Proven experience in stakeholder management, including managing expectations and facilitating discussions with business users and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications : Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist Oracle WMS.

- Integrations : Experience with integration of WMS with 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers or other external supply chain systems (e.g., Transportation Management Systems).

- Industry Experience : Experience working in manufacturing industries or other complex supply chain environments.

- Process Improvement : Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies knowledge.
