Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions on AWS, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development:

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large-scale data using AWS services (e.g., Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, EMR).

  • Data Modeling and Integration:

Create and optimize data models for structured and unstructured datasets to support analytics and business intelligence.

Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and streaming platforms, into the data warehouse.

  • Performance Optimization:

Implement performance tuning for ETL jobs, data models, and SQL queries to ensure efficient processing and retrieval.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and optimize AWS cloud resources, including IAM, EC2, VPC, and S3, to support data engineering workflows.

  • Data Quality and Governance:

Develop and enforce data quality frameworks, monitoring, and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.


Required Skills and Qualifications


Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in AWS services such as Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, S3, EMR, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Scala for ETL workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data streaming tools (e.g., Kinesis, Kafka) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 4-8 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on AWS cloud technologies.

Problem-Solving:

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Terraform, Jenkins).
  • Experience with machine learning workflows and integrating with data pipelines.
