Location: Mumbai (Remote)Experience: 5–10 YearsIndustry: Database Technologies (Redis, Oracle, Postgres, NoSQL), BFSI SalesCompany: INI8 LabsAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Techno-Sales Specialist with deep experience selling database technologies (Redis, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL systems, caching solutions, distributed databases, or related infra tools) to BFSI customers.This is a hybrid role — 50% technical understanding, 50% enterprise sales — focused on helping large banks, NBFCs, fintechs, and insurance companies adopt Redis Enterprise and our modern database solutions.The ideal candidate has previously sold to CIO, CTO, VP Engineering, Architecture, and Procurement teams in BFSI, understands regulatory/RBI-driven requirements, and can lead both technical and commercial conversations.Key Responsibilities1️⃣ Enterprise Sales (BFSI-Focused)- Own revenue targets for Redis Enterprise & database modernization offerings. - Target and engage large banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, fintechs, and credit bureaus. - Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting → pitch → evaluation → RFP → negotiation → closure. - Build strong relationships with CIO/CTO, Head of Infrastructure, Enterprise Architects, and DBAs. - Navigate BFSI procurement, vendor onboarding, security assessments, and compliance evaluations.2️⃣ Technical Understanding & Solutioning- Deeply understand databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, NoSQL systems, clustering, HA, caching, replication, performance tuning. - Conduct discovery workshops, technical qualification, and use-case analysis. - Explain performance benefits, scaling strategies, HA/DR architecture, and TCO comparisons. - Collaborate with the technical team/founder for POCs, sizing, and architecture proposals.3️⃣ RFP, Compliance & Procurement Handling- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires. - Coordinate legal and compliance requirements typical in the BFSI world. - Manage pricing, rate cards, multi-year licensing, and contract structure.4️⃣ Account Growth & Partner Management- Work with OEM (Redis) for joint GTM, partner incentives, and sales alignment. - Grow accounts through upselling to new departments, use cases, and workloads. - Maintain long-term relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.5️⃣ Market Intelligence & Documentation- Track BFSI tech initiatives (modernization, digital banking, cloud adoption). - Share insights on competition (Oracle, Couchbase, MongoDB, Hazelcast, Aerospike). - Prepare solution briefs, proposals, and customer-specific presentations.Required ExperienceMust Have- 5+ years experience selling databases or infrastructure technologies. - Strong exposure to Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis, NoSQL, caching layers, high-availability systems. - Demonstrated success selling to BFSI clients in India (mandatory). - Ability to run technical discussions (latency, throughput, replication, clustering). - Experience closing deals in the ₹1 Cr – ₹20 Cr range. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements: - Data residency - RBI audits - Cybersecurity assessments - Vendor onboarding - Compliance checklistsGood to Have- Prior experience with Redis Enterprise / NoSQL DBs. - Relationships in BFSI IT leadership. - Experience working with OEM/partners (Oracle, Redis, MongoDB, AWS/Azure).Key Skills- Strong technical grounding in databases and distributed systems. - Excellent communication skills — both business and technical. - High confidence in presenting to CXOs and architecture teams. - Strong understanding of BFSI sales, procurement, and decision cycles. - Ability to independently manage high-value enterprise opportunities.What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)- Build and close a pipeline within BFSI across 6–10 target accounts. - Lead Redis Enterprise deals from qualification to closure. - Establish relationships with CIOs, DB architects, and infra heads. - Successfully push modernization and migration engagements.What We Offer- Competitive salary + high commissions (database sales). - Opportunity to work with a fast-growing engineering company. - Close involvement with founder and product teams. - Exposure to high-value BFSI enterprise deals. - Freedom to operate remotely with flexible travel.
