Overview :


The PL/SQL Developer plays a crucial role in developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance database solutions. They are responsible for creating and optimizing PL/SQL queries, improving data model efficiency, and ensuring data integrity and security.


Key Responsibilities :


- Designing, developing, and maintaining complex PL/SQL code for applications and database solutions.


- Optimizing database queries, indexes, and storage for efficient performance.


- Participating in database design and data modeling to ensure scalability and performance.


- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and address database requirements.


- Performing troubleshooting and debugging of database issues and errors.


- Implementing data security measures and ensuring data integrity through best practices.


- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for database processes and procedures.


- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback for code improvements.


- Developing and implementing data migration and integration solutions.


- Monitoring and optimizing database performance and resource utilization.


- Participating in the planning and implementation of database upgrades and patches.


- Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams for database-related inquiries.


- Staying updated with emerging technologies and best practices in PL/SQL development.


- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.


Required Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


- Proven experience in PL/SQL development and database management.


- Proficiency in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex PL/SQL queries and scripts.


- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling techniques.


- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization in PL/SQL.


- Knowledge of database security best practices and data integrity principles.


- Familiarity with database administration, backup, and recovery processes.


- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.


- Strong communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.


- Experience with data migration, integration, and ETL processes.


- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new tools and methodologies.


- Relevant certifications in PL/SQL or database administration are a plus.


- Understanding of version control systems and agile development methodologies.


- Knowledge of industry-standard compliance and regulatory requirements for data management.
