Role Overview

We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) to join our growing team. As an FDE, you’ll work directly with enterprise customers to deploy Kavia’s platform, solve complex technical problems, and ensure successful adoption. This is a customer-facing engineering role that requires both strong technical depth and the ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with enterprise customers to scope, deploy, and integrate Kavia’s AI development tools into their workflows.


  • Translate customer requirements into technical configurations, prototypes, and proof-of-concepts.


  • Troubleshoot issues across APIs, integrations, and infrastructure.


  • Provide product feedback to our engineering team to improve usability, scalability, and enterprise readiness.


  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, guiding them on best practices for AI-native software development.


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or deployment engineering roles.


  • Strong coding ability in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.


  • Familiarity with modern software development practices (GitHub, Jira, CI/CD pipelines).


  • Comfort working with APIs, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), and enterprise integrations.


  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage directly with technical leaders and end users.


  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, adaptable, and excited to build in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred

  • Experience with enterprise software deployments or developer tools.


  • Background in AI/ML, DevOps, or enterprise SaaS environments.


  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements.
