Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Natural ADABAS Consultant with strong expertise in mainframe technologies and offshore support to join our team remotely.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale mainframe production systems, with deep knowledge of Natural programming and ADABAS database management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Natural programs and Job Control Language (JCL) scripts to support project deliverables and ongoing operations.

- Perform application support activities including systems monitoring, security reviews, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

- Provide production support for complex mainframe systems running Natural and ADABAS environments, ensuring high availability and reliability.

- Analyze and understand large-scale, complex mainframe production systems, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

- Collaborate with global teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, process workflows, and database schema documentation.

- Conduct system upgrades, patches, and migrations as required while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.

- Work closely with stakeholders to review system security and compliance standards.

- Assist in the planning and execution of testing activities to validate code changes and system enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Extensive and proven experience in Natural programming and ADABAS database management on mainframe systems.

- Strong background in mainframe development, including TSO/ISPF, JCL scripting, and DB2 database interaction.

- Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical mainframe production environments.

- Knowledge of system security protocols and compliance best practices in mainframe ecosystems.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation including functional and design specifications.

- Strong communication skills to effectively work in a global, cross-functional team environment.

- Ability to work in the designated offshore hours (6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST).

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setup.
