Job Responsibilities:

  1. Create and review content for the development and update of standard response letters, custom response letters, FAQs, infographics, etc. You should be able to make decisions regarding the presentation of information, content structure and flow, and the inclusion of relevant data. Familiarity with AMA style, language, grammar, stylization, and referencing is essential.
  2. Handle inquiries and triage inquiries containing adverse events (AEs) or product quality complaints (PQCs) to the appropriate teams. Develop and review Medical Information (MI) responses to ad hoc queries received from Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), internal staff, or the public.
  3. Localize standard response documents.
  4. Perform data analytics by creating reports for products and identifying trends from the data.
  5. Be proficient with scientific databases such as PubMed, Embase, etc., and have knowledge of literature search processes and how to retrieve relevant publications/data.
  6. Familiarity with tools such as Veeva, IRMS, EndNote, RightFind, and Mendeley is beneficial.
  7. Lead projects end-to-end and ensure project health by collaborating with the project manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  8. Lead client calls, understand client requirements, and provide guidance on the best approaches for content presentation and flow. Offer project status updates and address any client inquiries.
  9. Follow best practices within the department regarding processes, communication (both internal and external), project management, and documentation.
  10. Participate in assigned training programs and work on assignments as required.
  11. Mentor, train, and lead a team of medical writers.
  12. Comply with quality, confidentiality, and security standards, and adhere to quality systems, processes, and policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PharmD or PhD) in a scientific, health, communications, technology, health outcomes, or public health-related field.
  • 4-10 years of experience in medical communications or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience leading teams, including relationship building, setting expectations, holding others accountable, and providing technical coaching.
  • Strong scientific communication skills, with extensive experience in writing, reviewing, and publishing scientific materials. Ability to critically appraise scientific literature and raw data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with all audiences.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with published articles, congress deliverables, post-hoc articles, meta-analysis, network meta-analysis, case reports, slide decks, MSL decks, and hands-on experience writing network meta-analysis and meta-analysis.
